Shumaila, the dynamic founder of Shumaila Vocational Center, continues to inspire us all with her incredible transformation and dedication to empowering women across Pakistan.

Through a landmark JICA project for women’s empowerment, supported by JICA Pakistan and HBL Microfinance Bank, Shumaila first joined as a beneficiary, gaining vital skills, financial literacy, and business training. But she didn’t stop there.

With passion and perseverance, she returned to the program—this time as a trainer, helping other women realize their potential, start their own ventures, and become financially independent.

As part of the project’s success stories, documentaries were created to showcase women-led small businesses, and Shumaila’s contribution stood out as a shining example of resilience, leadership, and community impact.
